Twenty-five years ago two journeys began: the first one ended instantly at cape of good hope, where two masses of water – the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean – merged remaining, at the same time, distinct. The second journey, instead, is still ongoing: it is the restaurant Madonnina del Pescatore. Observing the first journey I now realize how deeply that image of the two water masses is still stuck in my memory, so much, in fact, that I feel the need to recreate in my cooking a similar encounter and fusion between two equally powerful forces: creativity and tradition.
